CSO to perform at Chandler Science Spectacular 2020!

CSO returns to Chandler's Outdoor Stage on Saturday, February 8, 2020 for a fun, family-friendly concert to cap off the 9th Annual Chandler Science Spectacular event. This great STEM event becomes a STEAM event with CSO providing the ART influence. If you know anything about music, you'll know the close connection it has to science and math. We'll have a booth set up with some fun instrument construction projects for kids where they'll learn how different pitches and sounds can be created using everyday objects. We'll also have an "Instrument Petting Zoo" with some string and percussion instruments available. Orchestra members will guide young hands to make music on each of them. At the end of the event, at 2:00 p.m., the orchestra will take the stage to play some favorite sci-fi & fantasy movie music, including Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Dr. Who, and Jurassic Park as well as themes from some popular video games. It's all free and open to the public, thanks to the generosity of the City of Chandler. Come spend the day and make sure to stay for the concert!
